On this Night of Merry Wonderment
Bells ring…
Fortune’s footfalls—merely creeps, merrily peeps,
Night falls.
Out from their lil’ toothless heads’ headless lil’ beds—
Bright calls—
Shouts-loud! All unhides child’s eyes; presides piles-prized,
Lights! Balls!
Mouths round, now round the merry rebound soundly,
And sing.
Fortune’s footfalls—merely creeps, merrily peeps,
Night falls.
Out from their lil’ toothless heads’ headless lil’ beds—
Bright calls—
Shouts-loud! All unhides child’s eyes; presides piles-prized,
Lights! Balls!
Mouths round, now round the merry rebound soundly,
And sing.
